PDF Architect reviews 7Write a Review
In my opinion, this program should be a part of Microsoft Office Suite. Its interface is very similar to Office. Though PDF-Architect offers trial period, I got the impression that his abilities list only consist ability to display PDF-files. I wanted to convert some documents to PDF but this ability is blocked. The OCR features are also blocked. So, I do not understand what is purpose of the program’s trial? I can’t try its main features? Only opening pdf files.
- The interface is similar to Microsoft Office
- The trial version is very limited.
The Free version is very poor.
I wanted to try it. I decided to start testing the free version of PDF Architect. I downloaded it and installed but there was a necessity to create an account. To finish the registration, I had to type my email address (to activate the account). I did it but have made one mistake: I lost one character in the domain name. So I could not get a letter with the activation code. There is no ability to correct the email, It was "greyed out". I had to hack the registry and re-installed the program/ But I was disappointed! There were so few useful in the free version, that my checking "PDF Architect" was complete at the moment.
- Handful of functions in free.
Their policy is disgusting. Bait and switch.
That what I want to say is very important! Their policy is disgusting. You should be honest with potential users and asks users to pay $99 or $39 or something else. But you tell that the program is free! I think "That`s great". And after start using it you block me at every corner.
- Says free and then there is a lot of blocked features.
It was difficult to remove it.
I do not use it more and I do not need similar programs more because built-in PDF functionality in Chrome and Office fully meet my needs. I stopped using PDF Architect when there were these opportunities. But for some time it remained on my computer until its requests for upgrade and other annoying popups tired me. I decided to remove the program but it was not easy. I could not. At last I started Windows in safe mode and removed manually all files (I could find) associated with the program. It was a hard way to the point!
- Easy to use
- No easy way to uninstal.
I bought the module OCR (decided to upgrade) but I really do not have enough time to properly check its work. No, I have used it a few times, but it was not enough. But I already see that its performance is equal to or even better than ScanPapryus which I used before PDF Architect. I like their wise pricing and support.
- OCR performance
- Wise pricing
- Educated and attentive support.
I get great pleasure when working with the program.
I have started using this product the last month. Its interface is really user-friendly, I get great pleasure when working with the program. I need to convert scanned documents into editable text (OCR) but I have PDF Architect Pro without OCR Module. I plan to buy it and maybe anybody knows how well the OCR module works? Because if it does not work well enough I do not want to spend my money.
- User-friendly interface.
The OCR mdule works terrible.
I purchased it some time ago. I had an old PC with Windows XP. There is installed old version (2012 year) of PDF Architect. I like how it works. And I thought that its new version will be perfect for my work on the PC with Windows 7. This new version is with the OCR module. I need a similar tool for my new task. But this version is very imperfection! The guide is useless and the program is very complicated. The OCR is terrible!! It can not make an exact image of a scan, there can be random font size, different fonts, often it does not realize where are punctuations and letters.
- OCR is incorect
- No customer service
- Very complicated
- Useless guide.
