The wait for the release of the new iOS version is now over. The company has launched the new operating system, iOS 15, on June 7, 2021. It was realized during the company's Worldwide Developer Conference. The majority of the hardware that supports iOS 14 will likewise support iOS 15.
Developers had the privilege of using the beta version of iOS 15 as it was made available for them on the same day. As for the public, the public beta version would be available in the summer of 2021 for the general public to use.
Numerous additional innovations and new features essential to both users and developers are included in this latest version of iOS. Such changes have a concentration on interface adjustments, the capability to concentrate on particular elements of our lifestyle, on-device learning, and experiencing the globe.
#1. Messages
The major new update is that Texts will notify people trying to reach you if your phone is in a Do Not Disturb state. When sending the text, they will be told that you are in a Do Not Disturb state. However, people can still contact you for essential texts, and you will be alerted even if you are in a Do Not Disturb mode.
Moreover, if you like sending many images through the Messages app, you know that doing so entails cluttering the conversation with each image on its chat session. The app will address this with Photo Stacks, which combine numerous delivered pictures into a unified circular display. It can be switched between or clicked to obtain a grid display of all the images.
Also, the Photos app may now import pictures given to you over Messages by others. As a result, you will no longer have to select images from the Messages app explicitly. Moreover, you can now pin objects in a discussion. It is a crucial innovation through which you can pin any vital conversation. As a result, it would be saving you from the hassle of searching through the chat threads in the Messages.
#2. Maps
With iOS 15, Apple is significantly enhancing the Maps app by incorporating new "City Experiences" into the app. Combining significant monuments as digitized 3D models in certain cities would provide a unique experience. Additionally, more data will give details on business areas, highway colors, and tags. Also, a new night mode will enable users to explore towns in a moonlight setting.
Moreover, it would also have new driving directions and optimize route details. Also, it will now give data on the route you're riding, such as cycle paths, cab lanes, and more. As a result, It will allow GPS-enabled vehicles and drivers to drive more securely.
Finally, Maps now has a new AR display for certain cities. In specific cities, use the cameras to detect landmarks and also get GPS navigation overlay in a camera view. This will be accessible in San Diego, New York, London, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. However, there plans to add more locations later this year.

#3. Privacy
One thing that Apple advocates are the safety and security of its user's data. And with iOS 15 privacy enhancements, Apple maintained its commitment to keeping iOS most safe smartphone operating system. Privacy reports, Mail, and Siri, are among the additional and new improvements. Privacy Reports in iOS 15 will enable you to monitor applications and how they are using your data.
Moreover, Apple Mail now allows users to disable pixel monitoring and disguise IP addresses. This way, it would be impossible for the senders who cannot trace your email reading. As for Siri, Apple will start implementing voice recognition on the device by default, which means your speech will not be transferred to Apple's systems whatsoever to be translated for Siri.
Furthermore, Apple is adding a new Privacy Report tool for apps. Through it, you can use it to evaluate how effectively particular apps are performing in terms of security. The summary will include information on the rights you've given them, the third-party websites they access, and how frequently they contacted you.
#4. FaceTime
FaceTime is getting a significant overhaul with iOS 15, which will enable video calling more intuitive, pleasant, and realistic. This begins with the FaceTime application, which supports Spatial Audio, which Apple introduced with the Air Pods Pro. While using Spatial Sounds-compatible Air Pods, audio will appear as if it is originating from the phone.
Also, FaceTime will get an upgrade that will allow you to filter out background noises using a function called Voice Isolation. This function, which separates your speech and suppresses all extraneous sounds, will be powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning.
FaceTime's most significant developments concentrate primarily on two additional features: FaceTime Links and Share Play. FaceTime connections enable you to organize a FaceTime conference ahead of time and then provide the link to attendees by Mail, iMessage, or a calendar invite.
Another important FaceTime innovation is Share Play, which allows users to access three additional characteristics: enjoying songs simultaneously, viewing videos together, and screen-sharing simultaneously.
#5. Notification Schedules and Summary
Alerts have been revamped to feature more comprehensive graphics, user account photographs for Texts, and better pictures to help differentiate them. Furthermore, you can now mark individual applications as non-priority so that you would not see them during the day.
Instead, you would be receiving an Alert Overview at a time of your choosing to keep up on non-priority alerts at your leisure. Important contact notifications would always come through. However, you will customize the notifications you receive to help you concentrate better at your job or home.
#6. Focusing Mode
Focus mode allows you to define a focus zone. When you create a Focus Mode, you may define which applications, Home Displays, and contacts you will access when in that mode. Any unnecessary apps or contacts will be disregarded while switching modes.
Focuses produced on one gadget will be transferred to subsequent devices via iCloud, allowing you to share focuses on all apple products quickly.
