Avast Cleanup Premium review with 25% discount key
What is Avast Cleanup Premium, actually? It is a replacement for Avast's Grimefighter app and older Avast Cleanup and AVG TuneUp, which have been discontinued. You can see the result after 10 minutes run, and more details below in our Avast Cleanup Premium review.
Avast Cleanup Premium comes both as a standalone tool and as part of Avast Free/Pro antivirus, Internet Security. This is especially handy if you are already using another antivirus package that you are happy with.
On a second screenshot, it is tuned up 91%, because we had sleep mode, One Drive and Skype running. Let's move on to what Avast Cleanup has to offer. Here's also a quick video overview before we begin:

Avast Cleanup Premium has always been a feature-rich application, complete with a list of independent functions. The list of features available in Avast Cleanup Premium as of 2019 are:
- Maintenance Scan: cleans up issues relating to temporary files like cookies, browser cache, temporary system files, etc., along with repairing broken registry entries.
- Disk Cleaner: scans your hard drive and rids it of unnecessary files.
- Junk File Remover: removes old files which are no longer being used or are leftovers from an uninstall. Also empties the trash bin.
- Tuning Dashboard / Action Center: looks for common issues plaguing your system, like unsafe user accounts and settings, and fixes them.
- Browser Cleaner: optimizes your browser by clearing cookies, cache, download history, and any other unnecessary bits of data.
- Registry Cleaner: scans the Windows registry, removing redundant and broken entries.
- Shortcut Cleaner: removes redundant and broken shortcuts and icons.
- Bloatware Removal: removes expired trial software, adware, and toolbars that needlessly take up valuable hard drive space.
- Sleep Mode: allows you to “pause” or put programs “to sleep” and to reactivate them, it optimize usage of memory and CPU significantly
Avast Cleanup Premium also offers real-time notifications. If Cleanup detects performance issues on your computer it will let you know with a popup notification. The pop-up includes information on issues with settings, applications, and/or disk space, and gives you the option of fixing the issues. App allows users to tweak the notification settings, including opting out of receiving notifications altogether.
Note: in Avast Cleanup free edition the only feature available is Maintenance scan that shows actual info and system status to optimize.
Benefits of Avast Cleanup Premium
Avast Cleanup claims to provide these benefits to your computer:
- Improved efficiency
- Faster performance
- Improved boot times
- Increase in available hard drive space
- Removal of unnecessary applications
- An optimized system registry
- Longer battery life in laptops
According to their website, the application's malware engine has been tested in a number of environments. It appears to be very effective in both finding and removing various factors contributing to system inefficiency.
Avast Cleanup trial and license key
The side navigation, on the right, contains access to other features, utilities, and usage statistics. A button in the top left corner allows the user to Unlock All Features. This takes you to a separate window that will guide you in choosing and purchasing an activation license. It was very easy to choose 60 days trial and get license key by email in 5 minutes. We have activated and started to use it.
Optimize your PC
Upon clicking on Start Maintenance scan and we've got results in 30 seconds. You can see our results 3 minutes after the cleanup and optimization in a screenshot below. This function is really powerful, as it found apps running in stealth mode, that had been impacting our PC speed and memory. Here is Background and Startup status before and after optimization (only One Drive and Skype running).
Avast website claims the following performance gains: 25 – 50% increase in speed, 50 – 60% start up times improvement, 6 – 10% higher fps (frames per second) rates in gaming systems, as well as 22-68 GB of cleared hard drive space. Independent benchmark tests support these claims and we tend to agree as well.
Avast Cleanup plans and pricing
Avast Cleanup Free is available in Scan Only Mode. If you want to try out all of the Cleanup Premium features, it is possible to activate it for a trial period. The trial period lasts for 60 days and allows you to take full advantage of all of the features and tools. You do, however, have to sign up for the trial period and will need to enter your personal information including your PayPal or credit card.
Avast Cleanup Premium you may purchase through your Avast Antivirus program (or other Avast products) or from Avast.com directly. The activation license comes in three flavors: a 1-year license for $49.99, 2-year for $89.99 and a 3-year for $129.99.
The software vendor also offers Avast Cleanup for Android, and it is completely free to use. Similar to, but different from Avast Cleanup, is Avast Browser Cleanup. This is another free utility, but for your PC. It removes malicious add-ons from your browser, old files, cookies, and cache information, speeding up browser performance.
Caution regarding activation: Some people may attempt to unlock the full set of features by obtaining license keys from questionable websites. This is not a good idea. It is highly improbable that you will get a working license key for free or from a third party. Most often, shady webmasters will use a “free license” to attract visitors and install malware. It's a much better idea to pay the $49.99 license fee, valid for one year, to get and keep your PC running smoothly.
System requirements for Avast Cleanup Premium:

- Processor: Intel Pentium 4 (or higher) / AMD Athlon 64 (or higher)
- RAM: 256MB (minimum)
- Hard disk space: 1.5GB (minimum)
P.s. Impact on PC resources is close to nothing.

Avast Cleanup reviews 11
First of all, the free space on the hard drive and the absence of registry errors are important to me. Avast found 1.5 GB of garbage per PC (4.2 GB with Windows copies). That at the expense of the registry also very smoothly found 350 errors in the registry, when the alternatives were found 150-200. It is also very striking that the application finds trackers and cookies files.
I used the application for 2 cleanings.
The cleanup has a subdivision of broken labels, it would be better if this subdivision was in the system trash category. Since these labels do not take up much space, they do not have any negative impact on the system.
Avast Cleanup is suitable for simple users, clear interface, ease of use.
The main disadvantage is the high price for which you get + - equal opportunity when compared to alternative clins (price is lower). And a free version with heavily trimmed functionality.
- Convenience, simplicity of the interface, finds a lot of garbage, errors
- High price, no advanced functionality, Windows startup
I choose Avast Cleanup for my system
Once I decided to get free Avast Cleanup instead of a bunch of unnecessary free Malwarebytes. Now I ask the question for myself: "Why I had been using CCleaner all time if there is such a nice utility from Avast?" The program works really good except thing when I go to performance and cleanup premium I get a message about I should get rid of a bunch of things.
- Excellent functionality performance
- Some issues in waste detecting
Avast Cleaner delete can`t see a difference between your files, and temporary files of programs
I used Avast Premier and Avast Anti Virus for many years, but after trying out Avast Clean I got disappointed with them because it`s very dangerous and buggy antivirus. I keep a lot of important files to me in download folder and Avast Cleaner destroyed them! Ones after the scan I got a message that it found 159 GB of program`s temporary files, so I clicked yes on deleting them but reached out that these files were from my download folder, and they were deleted permanently. I`m very disappointed with Avast. I`m using Windows 10.
- other services are still good
- It can delete your data
Good program for temporary files, trash, clones cleaning
Avast Cleanup Premium removes all garbage from a system. Cache from the browser and the place of a visit can be considered an analog of Ccleaner. The program can not only clean garbage but also optimize the computer. In general, the program is quite good, the interface is beautiful, you can plan on which day to clean, it`s very easy to manage all the work is in one click. I recommend to get it.
- Convenient, simple, helps to clean garbage.
- No cons
I like this software
I haven't any reason to complain about Avast Cleanup Premium. For a year of using, it hasn't made any issues for my system. Yes, the program removed some of my important data from the Downloads folder, but I think it's my fault. I never saved these data into my files and moreover, I'm sure that you must always check your files and downloads before removing them. Anyway, Avast Cleanup successfully gets rid of any waste and junk data, so I use it.
- Good waste cleaning
- Automatically downloads removing
Paid Version get the does get the job done
I have used the paid version of Avast cleanup on an older Windows 10 operating system and it made a significant difference to the startup, the performance, and the overall PC speed. If it was a scam like others say, that will be very subtle to me because I haven't found anything detrimental done to my PC. My PC has gone stable ever since from being unstable after I ran the cleanup. I wouldn't say I am a Pc expert, and I'm definitely not an IT specialist, but I do see some improvement in my PC performance after using Avast Cleanup.
- Improves PC overall performance
- Haven't noticed any
This software took my system to fail.
I was a regular user of Avast security software for a lot of years. But Avast Cleanup Premium had disappointed me. My computer failed to turn off after shutdown. And it happened after Avast Cleanup Premium installing. Moreover, running programs began to quit and disappear from the screen, also utilities began to froze or faile to load. Obviously, I turned to Support to solve this problem, but I didn't get an answer. My computer began to work after this program removing and installing the latest Windows 10 update.
- Other Avast software is good enough
- Fatal influence on the system
Excellent utility! I recommend it.
Avast Clean is a pretty good utility. It finds dangerous programs and other trash very fast. Depending on the found bastards, the program removes any dirty tricks in less than 5 minutes. I'm glad to use it so I really recommend the utility to everyone.
- Fast, doesn't take up much disk space, there is a trial beta.
- It doesn't free
Avast Clean Premium destroyed 159 GB of my important data.
I hate this program! Avast Clean Premium destroyed 159GB of my important data in the Downloads folder forever. So after installing this terrible software, I'm not a subscriber of Avast Premier and Avast Anti Virus more. It's very buggy and dangerous!
- No pros
- The program like a big con for your system
Subscribing to the free trial cannot be canceled. So I had extra actions to avoid the automatic payment of the program next time.
Recently, I decided to try Avast Clean Premium and subscribed to the free trial. In fact, a user should give credit card details to try a free trial. That's what I'd done. But later I found that I couldn't cancel this action. The program gives its users to cancel the automatic renewal. I did it, but I'm not sure. So I've updated my credit card details to avoid billing next year.
- No pros
- Subscribing to the free trial cannot be canceled
I'd noticed the system's slowdown and got pop-ups after unsubscribing..
For a full year, I had been getting those terrible pop-ups with Avast Clean prices. And that was because I unsubscribed from this. I even noticed the deceleration of my system after that. I think Avast does it on purpose. So I wouldn't buy it again.
- Cleaning is okay
- Pop-ups and deceleration of system after unsubscribing
